Certina watches are a brand with over 130 years of history that has established a strong position in the market for high-quality Swiss watches, thanks to its reliability, precision, and sporty character.

Throughout its history, the company has used various names. In the 1940s, it settled on the name Certina, which refers to the Latin word "certus," meaning certain. This trait, that is, certainty, reliability, and durability, was later transformed into excellent concepts such as the highly successful DS concept.

The company produces highly shock-resistant watches with water resistance of up to 20 bars. Over the years, these watches have been exposed to various extreme conditions, overcoming significant pressure and temperature fluctuations. Whether used during expeditions in the Himalayas or assisting scientists in underwater research projects like Sealab II, they are always an essential part of basic team equipment.

In subsequent periods, the brand also established itself in the field of motorsport and focused on supporting this sporting environment. Certina supports the Formula 1 team Sauber Petronas and later becomes the official timekeeper of the FIA World Rally Championship.

Names such as Certina Biostar, DS DiaMaster, DS Podium, the automatic movement Powermatic 80 with a power reserve of up to 80 hours, and the highly precise Precidrive calibre will forever remain part of watchmaking history, as well as the effort for continuous technological advancement.

The brand, with the turtle in its logo, symbolising durability, also recognises its social responsibility, and one of its projects includes supporting the rescue of sea turtles and using recyclable materials in watch strap production.
