The Luminox XL.3321 Commando watch from Luminox is designed to pay tribute to military units around the world. Developed in collaboration with military and law enforcement expert Andrea Micheli - a former Swiss Army Military Security NCO, internationally renowned journalist specializing in law enforcement and the military, and shooting instructor - the Commando line meets the needs of active professional soldiers and police officers, as well as adventure enthusiasts who want a reliable, versatile and accurate analog watch.
The Commando Raider combines all the details for which Luminox is renowned - durability, luminescence, extreme water resistance, high legibility - with a sand-coloured dial, military-style numerals and military time. The Raider model adds a unidirectional countdown CARBONOX™ with integrated compass rose, in a lightweight and extremely durable 46mm CARBONOX™ case.
Raiders throughout history have always been versatile fighters who specialized in quick strikes, so they had to be ready for anything. The Commando Raider watch fits this profile perfectly, as it is ready for any adventure or operation at any time, or just for casual wear during the day. The second time zone indicator, thanks to a special hand, makes sure that it doesn't matter where in the world you are. To complete the military theme, the Commando Raider's font is based on the ubiquitous military stencils, while the green insert with compass points on the bezel is made of anodized aluminum colored in what Luminox calls "Night Vision Green " , because it matches the color when you look at the world through night vision goggles. The shape of the second hand is the same arrow that can be found in the logo of many special forces units around the world, symbolizing strength, penetration, speed and a positive attitude.
Of course, the Commando Raider is equipped with Luminox's LLT system, which ensures that the watch is completely visible in low or no light conditions and never has to rely on an external light source.
The Commando Raider watch is equipped with a special Luminox strap that features "cut to fit" versatility. Designed to fit even the largest wrists, all you have to do is remove the spring bar attaching the strap to the Raider case and shorten the strap to the desired length, then reinstall the spring bar. SUPER LUMINOVA x COMMANDO
Super-LumiNova® - high performance phosphorescent pigments - also called "photoluminescent" or "afterglow" pigments, are the most commonly used, non-radioactive and non-toxic alternative for illuminating markings on watch faces and hands in the dark. Unlike tritium, SuperLuminova must be charged with light to provide afterglow, thus illuminating the watch face in the dark. These pigments act as a luminous battery. When sufficiently activated by sunlight or artificial light, they glow in the dark for many hours. Larger markers guarantee full legibility throughout the night. The COMMANDO collection must be exposed to daylight or artificial light to recharge the fluorescent material. In contrast, the patented (LLT) system uses glass tubes filled with phosphor powder and tritium gas. These tubes light continuously for up to 25 years without the need for any recharging. Also, the activation and subsequent light emission process of Super LumiNova can be repeated over and over again and the material suffers no aging, whereas LLT loses intensity over the years.
Luminox replacement strap FPX.2406.60Q.K . The watch strap is made of synthetic rubber (EPDM). It has a pitch of 24 mm and can be put on any watch with the same width.
