Featuring Accutron's patented movement powered by electrostatic energy - a historic advancement in timekeeping and the first of its kind - the Accutron Spaceview Evolution collection is a true design evolution of the original Spaceview 2020. While it uses the same iconic and distinctive case as the Spaceview 2020, the new Spaceview Evolution features an updated 30-degree movement orientation, giving it a completely new look - the tourbillons are tilted and the crown is positioned at two o'clock. A bridge detail with subtle scalloping is also newly incorporated, along with blue and black contrasting screws for a splash of colour. This style features a smoky grey open dial with metal dial rings set with light green superluminescent markers, silver-tone hour and minute hands with superluminescent centres and a silver-tone seconds hand. The watch comes on a genuine American alligator strap.

MOVEMENT

Accutron's own electrostatic movement. Electrostatic energy is generated by two turbines that rotate at incredible speeds between two electrodes attached to the movement as a result of human movement. The energy stored in the battery powers two motors: the world's first electrostatic motor driving a fluidic seconds hand and a stepper motor driving the hour and minute hands.

To ensure energy saving, the seconds hand automatically stops at 12 o'clock after 5 minutes of inactivity. The watch continues timekeeping, the hour and minute hands continue to move. To see the movement of the second hand, swing the hand completely up and down for 3 to 5 seconds. When the power is turned on, the second hand gradually returns to the current second reading and the power saving function is cancelled.
