Luminox presents the Pacific Diver Chronograph Series 3140 watch collection for World Oceans Day.
The Luminox XS.3143 was born in the Pacific Ocean - the new models expand one of Luminox's most popular watch lines
The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest body of water on the planet. At 155 million square kilometres and an average depth of 4,000 metres, the Pacific Ocean makes up almost 30% of the planet's surface. This vast body of water is a destination for passionate divers - both professional and amateur - and its deep blue waters attract people around the world and serve as home to a diverse ecosystem of aquatic life. The Pacific is the inspiration for the best-selling Luminox Pacific Diver Chronograph Series 3140.
In honor of World Oceans Day 2022, Luminox is launching 9 new models.
The new Pacific Diver Chrono boasts a 44mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional CARBONOX™ lunette, an essential tool for every diver. Luminox offers a customized rubber strap that provides an easy and perfect fit. Two versions with stainless steel bracelets are available. A black version with PVD case and black strap completes the range. Like all other Luminox watches, it is equipped with Luminox Light technology, which ensures that the watch will be visible in any lighting conditions for up to 25 years.
Although the exact debut of the chronograph and its attribution is still debated, the first chronometer was invented over 200 years ago and is still a highly sought after feature today. The chronograph allows for additional functions to time events both underwater and on land. Now divers can use the single-sided lunette and stopwatch function to keep accurate time during diving expeditions. As with oxygen, timekeeping is a matter of life and death when underwater, and the new Luminox Pacific Diver Chronograph 3140 series has become an important tool for ensuring safety while underwater.
Luminox and the Pacific Ocean are inextricably linked. When Luminox was founded in 1989, its specific goal was to design, engineer and manufacture the world's toughest watches for the world's toughest people - Navy SEALs (whose training base is on the Pacific Coast, in Coronado across from San Diego), soldiers, police officers, first responders, adventurers and people who love the outdoors.

Features
Luminox is a Swiss watch brand that has earned a reputation for its durability, accuracy and unique lighting. Luminox watches are designed for extreme conditions and are often used by professionals in the military, marine and aviation industries, as well as adventurers and athletes.
History and Origins
The Luminox brand was founded in 1989 by Barry Cohen and Richard Timbo. Their main goal was to create a watch that would offer high visibility in all lighting conditions. Inspired by the technology used in military watches, Luminox adapted it for the commercial market. The brand's first success was working with the US Navy, which needed a rugged watch for its elite Navy SEALs.
Light Technology (LLT)
The unique Luminox Light Technology ensures visibility at a glance - Luminox watch technology provides continuous light regardless of weather conditions for up to 25 years.* Most other watches use a luminescent color, which is characterized by a light source that needs to be charged and fades very quickly, or a "push-to-light" system, where a button needs to be pressed for battery-powered lights.
*Always Visible means that the Luminox Light Technology (LLT) lighting system, the tiny glass tubes that illuminate the watch, are guaranteed to illuminate for 10 years. The tubes are illuminated for 25 years, with visibility depending on individual eyesight, the colour of the tube and the condition of the watch glass.
